In 2009, a specialty aggregate quarry on a 1,000-acre site along the shores of Lake Huron approached us with a problem. Their conveyor systems, handling extremely hard trap rock, were putting immense strain on their belts. The cheap steel and plastic side guide rollers they were using wore out after just a few months, causing downtime and costly maintenance.
We set out to solve it. Our solution was simple but effective: manufacture guide rollers using high-quality steel, case hardened to deliver 10 times the wear life of standard OEM products. To push durability even further, we engineered dust covers to protect the inner bearings from contamination.
The result was a patented heavy-duty side guide roller built to last for years — safeguarding both the conveyor belt and the operation’s bottom line.
